Well, the girls celebrated a fun 1st Valentine's Day. They received beautiful cards, clothes & big bears from grandparents. We had a pretty normal day for the most part. The girls went to daycare while I was at work and Walt was at his course. After work we went home to welcome Walt home only to find him not feeling that well. I sent him to the walk-in clinic before our night out. The girls and I went over to my parents, where we waited for my dad to fly in from Louisiana. Walt and I had plans to attend a benefit concert at 7:30, and he called at 7:00 saying that the diagnosis was a mild case of strep. He said he still wanted to go to the concert, so I jumped in the car to get downtown to meet him at the theater. We were a few minutes late, but I so glad we went. The music was AWESOME, and it was for a good cause. It was for a local piano player, Doug Smith (www.dougsmith.com), who was in a car accident last year. He sustained an incomplete spinal cord injury. The concert was made up of several "West Texas" musicians and all the proceeds went to Doug and his family to cover medical/ rehab expenses. The absolute best part was the end, when Doug came out and played the piano! It was very moving. We left the concert at 11:30 to pick up the girls. We got home after midnight and very tired. It was a long day, but very memorable. I hope everyone had a great day with those they love. Here are a few more pics-
